Ubuntu-Depends |
The Breaks field defines a list of packages that cannot run simultaneously. One of the packages can be installed, the others can only be unpacked. In most cases, developers make use of the Conflicts target instead. It is generally simpler to avoid problems. However, if you know that it is safe to have other unpacked packages then using Breaks is a fine choice as well.
The Breaks field is formatted and expects a list of packages with optional versions and architecture definitions as defined for the Depends field.
