The X-Unpack-Date represents the date and time when the package was last unpacked. This field may exist without the X-Install-Date if the package was only unpacked, not installed.

Note that the --remove command does not delete this field so it may exist even if the unpacked files were removed. You want to test the current package status first.

The date is written using the RFC-2822 format as defined for the Date field by Debian.
