X-Created-Directories (wpkg-status)

The X-Created-Directories field represents the number of directories that were defined in the data.tar.gz file. It may not represent the number of directories that an unpack command generated because some of them may already have been defined. (especially if the data.tar.gz includes a . or / directory.)

This field is really just informative. The number of files could be counted again using the package file.

IMPORTANT NOTE

Symbolic links that point to a directory are counted as files, not directories. See the X-Installed-Files field for additional information.
